FS: 93 Civic Vx OEM white Sacramento, CA

This car is suited for someone that wants an car that can hyper mile and appreciates what the VX is capable of. This is the extremely rare Federal version, that does go into lean burn to give extraordinary MPG. Has shift light, 5 wire o2, rust free body (been in CA all it's life except for 1 week in NC when it was first bought) I've taking this car all over CA including Sacramento, to L.A. twice with no problems.

This car is an example how a used car can have inherent value.

Normally a car this old with the high mileage and body issues would be lucky to fetch $1000.00 but 49 mpg is hard to pass up.

funny how you didn't feel the same about mine that is in better working condition. remember my LX? well it ONLY gets 40mpg but i'm asking just over half the price of this one...https://www.gassavers.org/showthread.php?t=13739

honestly i'd rather have mine 'cause i need 4 doors...but again, it's what the market dictates...and buyers needs/preferences.

Well I forgot what you were originally asking for your car but $2100.00 is getting close to what I would pay. I think once you get closer to $1800 you have more nibbles. Although I would hold out longer as gas prices become higher.

Personally I wouldn't pay $3950 for the car being listed but the fact the owner can put such a high price on it (just like you put a high starting price on yours) indicates an inherent value (high mpg's).

If gas gets to $4.00/gallon the asking price becomes more reasonable.

i was thinking the same thing. but i'm also starting to think i should just park the car until i need it again. $4/gal gas may get me a better price, but then again it may get me to change my mind about selling.

Yeah, I would hold on to it but at least drive it once a week.

Not to be hating on 4 doors, but hatchbacks are just more useful... unless you have more then 2 people in car greater than 20% of the time.

4 doors = more weight, and less usable cargo space. A Hatchback has better aerodynamics and is like a truck, only you get 3x+ MPG!!!! And it can still haul 4 people around if you needed! Plus a hatchback looks better. (purely subjective, but majority of civic owners would agree.)

again it's buyer needs and preferences. i dont need cargo space, but i need 4 doors. you obviously dont have kids or the need to transport them in your hatch. i've never seen a poll concerning 2 and 4 door civic...yes, very subjective.

that's a fine looking car you have for sale, i just wouldnt touch it for that price. even if i bought it for less, i couldnt use it however. btw, concerning FE, a 4 door car is #1 in the top ten here at GS(gasoline cars only section). Way to keep it going PaleMelanesian!

Ok, aren't we supposed to be "enthusiasts" and not "antagonists" on this forum? Seems the tone is a little condescending ... :(
