1992 Honda civic dx project!
 

Well this is not my project but my best friends. We both had a few honda's like this in highschool. My old one was totaled by a drunk driver years ago and his car fell apart. He now has a truck and gas is killing him. He is a automotive tech and this car came in for a no start issue.

Turns out the cam shaft broke on number 4. Well the people did not want the car and he bought it from his work for 150$! The car is a one family owned everything works besides the tape deck! The inside looks brand new! The pain has seen better days But it does have 4 brand new tires! We found a set of vx wheels for 100$ and put the new tires on them.

The cam shaft broke due to oil starvation It had bad valve stem seals on cyl number 2. I was able to find a low mileage head for 60$ and the gaskets were 30$ well Today we put it together with the new head and it came to life first kick of the switch! Hooked a mechanical oil pressure gauge and it was perfect. The car drives like new besides a clutch letting out at the top which I have the under autozones life time warrenty as well as breakpad and almost everything maintance wise. Everything works perfect the a/c is ice cold! Not a bad investment with less then 350$ bucks so far You dont get deals like this everyday! I will get somemore pics soon this is when we first got it!

Yeah Im sure it will kill my ex civic's gas mileage even with out any hypermileing, He is really liking this car even though it not near as nice as his truck. I know if he does not plan on selling it since its so hard to get a decent civic now a days. But if he did it would be for profit haha.

absolutely for profit. i'm a capitalist at heart. seriously tho, i wont need another car for a year or so, but i would certainly buy it at market value if and when the time comes. i really like the idea of owning a dx...manual windows :)

I will run it buy him But im pretty sure he is going to want to keep it. He has been wanting another one for 2 years. And this one fell into his lap. He ran the emissions test and it passed with flying colors. It has the factory clutch and its weak so that is going to be done next week. That is a freebe since I have it under a life time warrenty.
