this guy is WAAAAAAYYYYYY under selling the car. 35mpg? can anyone say 50+? |
Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
depends on if it is the 3 or the 4 cylinder. the 4 probably gets closer to the 35ish mark. I think the epa on mine (with the 3 cyl) was 49. probably less with the new numbers.

Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
I just checked fueleconomy.gov. Apparently the 3 cyl was not available in 96. Here's the revised numbers for the swift models available in 96:
4cyl 5sp MT : 33 City/39 Highway/35 combined. 4cyl 3sp AT : 26 City/31 Highway/28 combined. |
Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
i ALWAYS go by the OLD estimates which is 41(combined) for this car. so 50 for a GS member is plausible. but, yes, the poster was listing the new epa estimates for the car.

Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
LOL, that much money, and the dealer didn't even bother to spend $10 on a headlight restoration kit. Just look at those oxidized headlights...

Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
sorry, mine was a 1993. I assumed they kept putting the 3 cyl in them just because they were so good on gas.
oh well. good luck to the place selling it. if I were going to spend that kind of money, it would be a honda. |
Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
it's still for sale. thinking about going to look at it...

Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
The second one's an AT, so its mpg will suck. I've got a similar AT nearby on a dealer lot for $3750.
The 5 speed might have 300k miles on it. Who knows? |
Re: FS: 1996 Suzuki Swift 5 speed
133k, but he wont come down in price after raising it to $2400
