A/C and heat control panel illumination?

Is the A/C and heat control panel suppose illuminate at night? Not the square buttons but the whole thing where you see hot and cold adjustments. At night I can only see little squares but can't see the control panel at all. ???

On every car I've ever driven it lit up. Maybe you have a burnt out bulb?

Haha, I guessed from the title you were driving a 90's Civic. Yep, burnt out bulb. Very common on our cars. It's a pain to get in there to replace it, too. I'd to visit honda-tech for a how-to. I'm sure they have one somewhere over there.

I just live with it. I know it by feel.
