Will from Michigan

I drive an 89' Chevy Celeb V6 2.8L

Been using Acetone for 2 months now and I must say the best concentration I've used is <B>*EDIT* 1.75 ounces/10 gallons</B> of 87 BP/AMOCO gas. I've BARELY noticed an increase in MPG, BUT the acceleration power has gone WAY up!

I came on board from Indianagasprices.com (i think) and I was there thru google. I am an active member of Detroitgasprices.com

I seen the featured vehicle and have some questions about things I would be willing to try on my own vehicle.

Where can you find: Excel Plus oil additive?

And the things listed below I would be willing to try out:

Excel Plus oil additive
Splitfire 8mm dual-core plug wires
Splitfire triple platinum plugs gapped at .030 instead of stock .040
195 degree thermostat
Goodyear Assurance Comfortread one size over stock inflated to 55 psi
<B>*EDIT 11-2-05* Acetone at 1.5 ounces/10 gallons of gas (THIS WORKS) I've been metering my acetone innacurately so I changed my original post to my ACTUAL measurements.</B>

Look for the article under

Look for the article under gas saving tips on what the best sparks to use are. Personally, I'm just going to go ngk and gap them a bit as well as index them. My acetone experiment has killed me, but I'm glad you've had success.

You can find the oil additive at https://xcelplus.com/xp_products/catalog.htm#automotive If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. At the time I changed my thermostat, the only place I could find a 195 was at www.partsamerica.com. Also, at the time I put on the plug wires, I could only find them at Splitfire's website.

Since you're using acetone,

Since you're using acetone, you probably won't need to get the fuel injector cleaner so you would need the fifth item down from the top; "Permanent Engine Protection". Here is a link to that product: https://www.xcelplus.com/xp_products/automotive/perm_engine_protect.htm
As far as the wires, I don't remember exactly when I put them on. I know that it was late spring or early summer. I had a set on before that but I accidently pulled one of the ends off when I was changing plugs once :-( Expensive mistake :-(
