DFCO is easily detected in my 2002 by watching Open/Closed Loop. As I recall, it correlated almost perfectly with the meter I had connected directly to a fuel injector wire.

I can feel DFCO by the seat of the pants. I just didn't know what the SG setting would be. Thanks for the display feed fix. I'll check it out.

Try all the different data speeds. I'm quite sure I had slow selected on my K1500. Another thing that was odd was if the data speed was wrong, you could hear the heads in the tapedeck moving around when you shut the ignition off.
