Automatic Link

I just heard about this app, what are you preliminary thoughts?
Automatic - Your Smart Driving Assistant

Anyone used a smart phone with a bluetooth OBD-II connector like this one:
Soliport ELM 327 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner : Amazon.com : Automotive

Which works with:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.torque&hl=en

Any other apps that link to OBD-II that you all have used?

Most folks that use the OBDII port here connect a Scangauge to it.

Those bluetooth connectors are more capable than the Scangauge and cheaper by at least $135 -- they're always up for $25 and sometimes you see them for as little as $10. You can use them with your computer, tablet, or phone; you can do data logging, watch live data, and of course the same old MPG bag of tricks. I bet some apps can integrate with GPS too, or auto-upload data. If I ever daily drive an OBDII again (seems likely!) I will almost certainly get one.

Absolutely, Id love one. But its like playing music on my cellphone through my car stereo. Its awesome, and very flexible. But It takes more fumbling than than my ultrgauge, which is just there. I turn the key and go, and I use my ultragauge as my spedo/tach because when I tilt my wheel down I cant see the gauges in my dash very well. But still I want one!
