92 VX speedo stopped working

The speedo stopped but the odometer is still working, It started just jumping around.....then it went all the way around to past 120 to the peg on the back side of zero....

Speed sensor ?

Why is odometer still working if the speed sensor is bad ?

It's the speedo head it's self. Junkyard or try to resolder all the joints.

the speedometer handle came off the pin. Happens too. Pull cluster out, remove plastic cover, and make sure it's not loose. A dab of Loktite on it will fix this.
Sometimes they run speed off distributor, as per tachometer, but I doubt you have that.
