rh77, how is that new t-stat?

I noticed when browsing your garage that you installed a new t-stat. Did you install the hotter one? (192 degrees I think). Has it helped with mileage or anything else noticable?

Sorry for the late reply -- I've been vacationing...

The new t-stat worked wonders for the MPG. The specially-ordered 192-deg 'stat raised the MPG from 27.37 to 32.13. The torque converter is engaged much faster after driving (sometimes, I still have to turn the heater off for a while to get the coolant temps up), but the new stat holds the temp right at the normal op. temp mark instead of dropping before.

I should be back on the board more when I get back from vacation...
