Dixie Caps

I just found this a little while ago and thought I would pass it along. Sounds interesting but I'm not real sure.

I think they just even out

I think they just even out the injector pulses to get rid of spikes and crap, might have merit, I'd rather just toss a capacitor on then spend 1000% markup on one though.

Yeah, sounds like a trip to Radio Shack might be in order. I wonder what size capacitor would be needed.

Somebody would either have

Somebody would either have to bite the bullet and distribute the information or someone knowledgeable about that crap could know mehbe. It wouldn't have to be exact.

why is there so many mpg

why is there so many mpg scams. It is starting to annoy me!

This product might work, but i wish if they said (more power, better fuel economy) it would actually do that.

So would the electronics people please explain why something like this would or would not work?

Occam's Razon tells me that this can't really work. Why? let's take Honda for example. They spend all of this money putting LRR tires on their fuel efficient cars to squeeze out an extra few MPG. Why wouldn't they simply put a $.25 capacitor on each injector for the same effect?

Maybe someone here can try it and tell us, but you know what they say about things that are too good to be true.

All it'll do it even out the

All it'll do it even out the injector pulses. If they're pulsing in the wrong sequence for some reason, then there you go. Sort of a bandaid I'd say.

and why put them under the

and why put them under the hot hood. put them inside the ecu.

as for value anything over 25V and 10UF should do nicely. u sont want it so big that it keeps the injector on longer than the ecu says. u just wana filter the signal. (but i agree kinda band-aiding it. theres not much cleaner than a injector signal.)
