Date display wrong in UK option

The dates are displayed m/d/y when the UK option is selected, whereas they should be d/m/y

Thanks

Where do you see the date wrong?

iain 06-21-2014 07:42 AM

Pretty much everywhere in my case..

Can you be more specific? Are you seeing wrong dates on www.fuelly.com, m.fuelly.com or the mobile app?

I set my country to the UK and browsed around.

On the car profile page, for Best MPG, I have 21/06/14

On the fuelup log, I also have 21/06/14

Annual Reports and All Fuelups have Jun 21 2014

The only "wrong" date that I see is on the Add Fuelup/Add Event/Add Reminder page where it defaults today's date to 6/21/2014 and I will fix that one. The Edit Fuelup/Edit Event/Add Reminder page also shows the same format but fixing the Add page will also resolve that one. The same date will also be fixed on m.fuelly.com as well as they all share the same source.

Ok - My issue is obviously country related. Jersey (as Jersey, Channel Islands) tends to use UK dates, but isn't in Fuelly....

If I change to UK then the dates work as expected.

Ah, now I understand better. I have changed Jersey to use the same locale as the UK so you should see the dates (except for the date on the fuelup page) correct.

I will check the countries of those who else have had a problem to see if the issue is the same.

Iain, another thing that is confusing for me is that if I pull up old Fuelly, which I can do, and set my country to Jersey, I see US dates there as well. It seems that setting Jersey as your country has never shown UK style dates in Fuelly.

No, it didn't - I thought it was 'by design', until I saw this comment :)

The date format is still wrong in the 'enter a fuel up...'

Yes, I know. That one is a bit trickier to resolve and you can click on the date to get the calendar to pick a date.
