Recent Activity hyperlinks

When you looked at recent activity, you used to click on the vehicle and it would take you to the page for that particular vehicle that was just filled up.

Recently (I don't know when exactly), it's been changed such that when you click on the vehicle in the recent activity link, it takes you to the page for all similar vehicles. Instead a new hyperlink has been added so that when you click on the MPG value, it takes you to the instance of that vehicle that you are interested in viewing.

For example: "[such and such] fueled-up their 2005 M3 BMW. Last Tank: 24.0 MPG

Clicking "2005 M3 BMW" takes you to all 2005 M3s, while clicking on"24.0 MPG" takes you to this particular vehicle.

Not sure why this was changed, but it's confusing and seems like change for the sake of change (which we can agree we have had a lot of lately). Additionally, when someone adds multiple fill-ups, the MPG value is not displayed, so you can't get directly to that particular vehicle, and you have to go through other pages. Whereas it's always been quite simple to get to the page for all 2005 BMW M3s from any particular M3's page. The links are right at the bottom of every vehicle page.

I'll ask Freddie if anything's been changed and see if he can chime in.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I also just noticed that the vehicle listings in the sidebar are reading strangely - mine says I've added fill-ups for my "Focus Ford" and my "Cougar Mercury".

Good catch. We'll get that straightened out shortly.

Regarding the change in where the links direct you from the Recent Activity Log-
We're looking into this further. We hoped it was going to help users see other like make/models to help compare data sets. With any change, it may take some getting used to, but when no MPG is displayed, that does pose a potential frustrating blocker. We're going to see how to best remedy this. Thanks again for the feedback!
