EPA fuel estimates outdated?
Hello,
The EPA estimates for the 2004 Grand Prix 3.8L GAS V6 Automatic 4 Sedan (4 Door) should be 18 MPG city, 28 MPG highway and 21 MPG combined as per the link below: https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Power...ix&srchtyp=ymm |
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'll see if our team can get this updated on our side soon.

Are there any updates on this? Mine is still showing the outdated EPA numbers.

Sorry for the delay.
Kinda strange that an older vehicle's EPA estimates would change. We went ahead and updated your vehicle. |
I find that sometimes it looks up the estimates wrong. For example, look at my 1998 GMC pickup. The EPA figures the site pulls up are for the regular cab version, not the larger extended cab that I have.

We have to fuzzy match the vehicles we have to the EPA database, which is why you are given a list of vehicles to choose from. Looking at the 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 5.7L. I only find two available entries, one for manual and one for automatic. I don't see any differentiation based on bed length.

If I look it up on the EPA site, I get 12/13/16. However, Fuelly is pulling up 13/15/17 which after I look it over, is the rating for the 1/2 ton 4wd diesel.

This is another case of where the values have been updated at some point between when we imported 1998 and now.
I am of the opinion that we should reimport all of the current EPA values. Doing this would require you to re-select your EPA value afterwards. |
Are there any plans to include the NEDC test figures for European users?
|
I believe in 2008 the EPA ratings were revised for all previous model years so someone could compare 2008 and newer vehicles with 2007 and older. I think you would only have to redo 2007 and older vehicles.
