BUggy imported data

Hello all,

I uploaded a lot of odometer and fuel volume data for an old car (nearly 1000 fuel ups over about seven years), but it turns out that the data was a lot buggier than I expected. I need to go in and fix a lot of it, and I think it'll be easier to flush the data set from Fuelly and re-import.

These are my questions:
a) What happens if I re-upload the same dataset with closer attention to the partial and missed fuel-ups columns? Will it replace the old data, add a second fuelup with the same date and odometer, or just straight up fail? (Or some fourth option?)

2) Is there a way to flush the whole dataset without deleting the car?

iii) If I delete the car and create a new one, can I choose the same label for the new car? Or is it like creating a username on some site -- once you use a name, it's in the database forever and can never be reused?

Thanks,

Greg

Hi there, I hope I can shed some light on your questions.

1- It will add a second fuelup (duplicate) to the same date and odometer.
2- You need to delete the vehicle profile completely. We do not currently have a way to mass-edit/delete fuel ups.
3- You can use the same name/label. Just be sure to delete/retire the first one so you don't accidentally import into the wrong vehicle.
