Lost Data -OK - So How do I Catch up?

Background: I've been a long time aCar user - my phone crashed and I lost about 3 months of data. My data left off in April - and I started manually saving receipts/mileage since my phone crashed in July- so I have a few month gap.

My question is - how do I continue forward with my data? Is there a way to account for a gap in the data or should I estimate and fake my data?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

Sorry to hear about your device failure and data loss! No fun. :(

To answer your questions- start with whatever fuel up you have available. If it's from last week, or last month, just enter the log. I realize your concern is regarding the lack of data (gap) between April and July. So with your first entry (let's presume July 1st), ensure you've checked "Missed Fill-Ups" in the New Record form.
This lets the app know that there may be data missing prior to this record, and to start calculations again from this point going forward.

Cheers!

Thanks for the response - that was just the answer for which I was looking. I didn't realize there was a neat way to handle missing fill-ups - thanks so much!

One further question - what happens with the break in the data - how does that work with graphs/stats etc?

Thanks in advance once again.

No data results in no stats. The purpose of the Missed is to tell the app there is a 'break' between your last logged fuel up and your latest. Essentially, so it doesn't think you've driven 2k miles in 3 months on a single tank of fuel!
