Cracked glass
 

Hi,

I've tried HHO a few times and have had an issue that just happened again...

Here is it and it only happens on my gas cars... not my diesel car.

The easy explanation is the Glass Mason jar cracks apart.

The metal lid is bent up also.

It happened on my gas Chevy van and my gas subaru... not my diesel Mercedes.

It also happened when I used baking soda and Potassium Hydroxide in the distilled water.

Each glass mason jar was set up the same way...

Any ideas why this is happening and what to do to stop it from happening again?

Maybe the water is getting hot enough pretty quick that the glass just cracks... Just a thought.

You are getting a spark from somewhere, which is igniting the explosive mixture of hydrogen and oxygen in the jar. It may be some sort of backfire from one of the cylinders, possibly because the mixture of gasoline and air, along with the hydrogen and oxygen, is igniting and the flame is propagating bast an open intake valve. Diesels do not have a mixture of fuel and air in their intakes, apart from your hydrogen and oxygen which is probably below the lower explosive limit.

Try a flame trap in the line from the bottle to the manifold. You could probably make one from copper screen. Better, in my opinion, take out the whole system and throw it away, because it is probably useless in the first place.

If the hydrogen is added in past the throttle plate, vacuum pressure could be the culprit.

I'd be with Charon on this one, a bit skeptical on these kinds of devices, if something sounds too good to be true...

But please log your fuel usage here so we can all see if there are any benefits to using one of these devices.

Personally, I would recommend refining your hypermiling techniques, you can get quite significant gains from changing the way you drive with no physical changes to the vehicle at all.
