Planning on getting a new car.
 

Hey guys! So, I've been planning to buy a new car for my brother. I'm actually not much experienced with purchasing cars, as my own car was a gift from my dad. Hence, I've been wanting a short guide on what all I should consider while getting one. However, I'm not checking my bro's favorite, as Ferrari could cost me quite a lot. But, I sure I'm planning to get a decent car for him. Hence, I need suggestions and advice. But actually speaking I have no clue where all would he like to travel with his car. Hence, so far, it's only the budget I'm worried about. hence, need your guidance.

Top things to consider are running costs, they include fuel costs, taxes (if applicable) insurance costs which can vary depending on age and where you live, as well as how many miles you're likely to drive, servicing costs, although modern cars only usually need servicing once a year or every two years.

After that, I'd look at depreciation, the more you spend, the more you're going to loose most likely. I bought my car with 4000 miles on the clock and saved a massive £12,000. Then it's all down to personal preference and taste really, and buying a car that suits your individual needs, don't buy a car that's excessively large if there's no need for it.

So many questions. What is your budget? How old is your brother? Is he single or does he have a family? Is he in school or working? Where does he live, i.e. big city, small town, country? How much driving experience does he have? How responsible is he? Does he have any serious hobbies? All of those factor in to vehicle type, size, power, etc. and will help narrow your choices. As far as brand it's tough to go wrong with a Honda or Toyota although there are many good brands. You may want to look for a nice 2-3 year old one rather than new. Good luck.

Take a look around Ontario this past week and buy a car that can make through the snow. AWD options are found on almost all cars and most luxury cars sold in Canada have it as standard equipment. Does he travel with friends, have lots of sports equipment ??
