2017 VW Jetta S 1.4 turbo/5M

In my garage late August 2017. Bottom feeder. MPG is about as close to my late JSW TDI 6M as VOA offers. After 3500 miles this site shows about 39 1/2 MPG in mixed (65City) use. Clutch seems OK (I was worried about the "delay valve" killing engagement point ala the GSW 1.8/5M posts over on VW Vortex). Brakes work fine; ditto for 5M. At 3590 odometer: Oil level at halfway point on dipstick crosshatch section.

About the only non-positive is the - at least to me - very sensitive throttle. On the Interstate - using c/c - no problem. In City driving - clutch/5M in action big time - this sensitivity can call up the turbo to boost torque. Fuel economy suffers.

Last - but certainly not least - VW pricing toward the end of Model Year was very, very competitive. I am reluctant to indicate my OTD price. No one will believe..................
