Drycell problems, need some help!
 

Hi everyone :)

I just bought my first 21 plate drycell and after 5min of testing I ran into problems!

I mixed 135g of KOH with ~1L of destiled water (to get 10-15%) and as you can see in the video, at that concentration, it´s pulling 10A with the pwm at 100%. (I assume i should use more electrolite to reach higher current draw?)

I was getting 0.5L in 40sec.

It all went good for 5min, then I turn on my car and I saw the ammeter jump to 17A. I left it for 2 min on but then I noticed burn marks in the plate´s holes!

The cell wasnt hot and can take much more than 17A, the water flow seems good (although it doens seem flood the plates all the way up), so any ideas why it burned the plates??

You can see the burn marks in the photos. Also, I noticed bubbles forming in the botton brass hose connector. I that normal?

Sorry for all the quetions but I´m really lost here.
