2018 Ram 2500 deisel megacab cab
11,000 miles
Normal freeway - 22 mpg
Freeway in the semi Lane - 27 mpg
Towing a 30 ft camping trailer -11 mpg
This mileage seems considerably higher than what I've been reading online, which trends in the teens. I wonder what gives.

Welcome to the forum. Are those pencil and paper numbers after filling up or from the dashboard optimismeter? Sounds like you got the plum truck.

Dashboard numbers. Pencil and paper seem so yesterday. OK, the computer made me lazy. I could see driving style affecting the numbers a little but mine seem way off. One site showed 14 mpg, jeez

I doubt pencil and paper would be 14 when the optimismeter says 22 but arithmetic is the only way to go. Or putting it in here and letting the computer do the pencil and paper for you.

Events are not as they are, they are as they are perceived. So, if I think I'm getting 22 I'm a happy camper

Why not switch off or blank the dashboard display, and imagine you are getting 30 mpg. You'll be even happier then! Only way to get a proper figure is to plug your stats into Fuelly and see what you are really getting.

Most reviewers aren't paying for the fuel out of their pocket.
