New Member - Great MPG

Hi, I'm new to Fuelly, but would like to share some info with you. I own a 2006 Nissan Primera SX 1.8 Manual Petrol Hatchback. During two recent trips to Wales, I have managed to achieve an incredible 47.7 mpg from my nearly 13 year old car!. Is this a record I wonder? The on-board fuel economy computer only goes up to 50mpg, and that is for a new car. What an achievement for my nearly 13 year old one. In November I achieved 46.7 mpg using the cruise control as much as possible, but when returning from Wales from my Christmas break, I achieved 47.7 without even using cruise control!

Welcome. Are these calculated figures or from the on-board display?

Hi! Welcome! I drive an 06 car as well (Civic). I know in the Civics, age doesn't really seem to matter. I used to get 38-40 mpg with my 04 automatic without trying (until a few months ago when she was totaled). Have had my 06 about 3 months and and working my way up in average mpg. My goal is average above 40. I had one trip where I tried coasting a lot and got 48.5 mpg over a 100 mile span. Are your mpg's US or UK?

Super nice my friend.
Also, of course, not comparison, but with my old Mercedes C240 (V6) I did sometimes using cruise control about 13 km/l (31 MPG). Remember, is almost 20 years cars, with almost 200 HP, heavy and old.... for me is a "record"
