Five cent modification provides 6 MPG
 

I know am competing with all of you for position at the top of the top ten list but, in the spirit of cooperation (which is really what this forum is all about) I am telling you about my most cost effective modification. On my 94 Geo Metro I added this screw in place of the rubber bumper that was on the gas pedal originally and as you can see by my gas logs I got an immediate 6 mpg improvement.

Well that is interesting. I guess it will cure you of leadfootitis. But since I have been cured of leadfootitis, I'm not sure if I would get 6 MPG.

Wow, that's one heck of a clean carpet for a 12 year old car!

I have a featherfoot already. But that mod would worry me for saftey reasons. I would like the option to go extra fast in a life or death situation.

Haha, I should toss my 8 valve camshaft into my 16 valve head and see what happens.

Yes, I like a clean car. I sold the cleanest Metro I ever owned. I hacked the dirtiest Metro I ever owned to bits.

I remember seeing that clean one on eBay. Looked awesome. And you got a great price for it.

Didn't someone else here own that dirty Metro? I remember someone on this site saying they sold it to you and then your tore it apart.

Or maybe the solder is getting to my head and I'm making stuff up.
