Smart Car in the U.S.

Ok so what is Crysler waiting for... People are just begging for more fuel efficent cars and hear they have a complete line... Why have they not released them hear? I mean several small comapnies have been making great proffits in the last three years importing european cars (smart cars included) converting them to meet U.S. DOT safety specs.

I think that the smart car is too small for most americans and Chrysler thinks it won't sell good. It is almost impossible to get a car built (for america) with under 100hp these days.
