The altima is SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!

The first person that looked at it bought it. I must of had at least 40 calls about it.

I sold it for the same price I bought it.

Now I'm going to save up a little and look for a 99-00 hx 5 speed.

Bunger 06-23-2006 11:13 PM

Done.

The Toecutter 06-24-2006 02:00 AM

You sold it with the aeromods on it?

If so, did the buyer like them?

BTW, now people I was suppose to call are now calling me all pissed off and asking why I haven't called them. I feel sorry for them, I can't sell the car to everybody. What I don't feel sorry is for the dealers, kept calling me and low balling me with their $2500 offers.

No, I took them off. As I previously mentioned I put everything on the car in such a way that it can be easily taken off and no drilling required.

Now I just got to sell $50+ worth of maintenace stuff on ebay.

SVOboy 06-24-2006 08:34 AM

Riding the bus in the meantime?

Anyway, good job, can't believe you sold it so quickly!

If I'm lazy I'll just pick up another civic right away. I have enough for a 98. Yeah, as long as everything is working they will buy it.

Compaq888 06-24-2006 06:41 PM

I don't want a car anymore, nothing but ****ing problems.
Nobody wants to work with me and treat me like **** because I look like a 16 year old.

They can keep their stupid cars. I'm riding the ****ing bus.

SVOboy 06-24-2006 06:44 PM

What happened, eh?

I drove 2 96-00 civic manuals. It was easy to drive them. One of them was hard because the salesman turned on the air conditioner to full and it blew in my face.

I don't want to deal with this bull, I'd rather ride on the bus.

Basically they wanted 4-5k over the car's price and wouldn't budge on the price.

SVOboy 06-24-2006 07:04 PM

Buy from a person, people are nice, :)

It's really hard to find one that is stock. 95% of them have been riced out or had been in accidents. I have a hard time finding a stock one.

SVOboy 06-24-2006 07:07 PM

Well, just be persistent. I checked every advertisement site and local forum a dozen times a day for four months before I found mine, and it wasn't near what I wanted, :p

If you can manage it, you'll probably be very happy with all the disposable income left over from not owning a car.

That would be great but I need a job. There is a mall 2 miles from my house and I've applied to a lot of stores there but nobody hired me. If I get hired in that mall I don't need a car at all.

^ aha even i haven't gotten over the fear of some suv creaming me one day.

The Toecutter 06-25-2006 05:20 PM

Honestly, I'd much rather have a fared bicycle than a scooter. A fully fared bicycle could be liesurely pedalled around 30 mph.

www.speed101.com/

I'm talking about those kind of bikes, BTW! If you really pedal it hard, you're looking at 60+ mph.

I don't know anyone who would be insane enough to ride one of these on the street to work each day, but I'd certainly love to give it a go!

95metro 06-26-2006 07:05 AM

Nice going, Compaq. Barely on the market and you sold it. I guess that's the benefit of buying a popular car in the first place.

Good luck finding a decent Civic for a decent price...

pssst....buy a Swift-clone...:D

The car wasn't popular, I just sold it $500 under it's price. The only reason it got sold so quick was because the car had 70k miles. i found plenty of civics but the problem is they aren't either decent or the price isn't decent.

95metro 06-26-2006 10:06 AM

Oh, I was just considering the Altima as popular going by Nissan's sales. That's what I meant.

psst...no...seriously...buy a Swift-clone, they're not that bad. A little underpowered, but easy to work on and gets you from A-B without issue...and they're cheap! :D ;)

I still want something I can rev the hell out of. For the first year I'll probably get worse mileage because I got to learn stick and play with it

SVOboy 06-26-2006 02:40 PM

Why don't you get an ITR and do a little headwork? 10k readline...

The Toecutter 06-26-2006 07:02 PM

Then buy a Swift clone and add a turbocharger? :p

I'm having a hard time finding Metro type cars; at least on Ebay anyway.

95metro 06-27-2006 07:36 AM

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday when I looked for one out of curiousity - though I did see an XFi in running condition, but with a damaged driver's side. That would be fun to swap the powertrain to my Metro...:D

Lots of Swift-clones on Canadatrader.com, but I guess it doesn't do you much good if you're in the US.

Best place to look for them is right in your city. Drive around residential zones and back alleys looking for "For Sale" signs.
