Like what? Dropping a z1 engine in there? I saw if that money gets spent on the car it'll get eaten up pretty quickly paying for paint and rust repair, :p

Yea, so just under 2K left over. I will first see if any other problems will need to be fixed and then see how good the FE will be. Then I will sink the rest into rust repair and paint.

But at the rate that I am getting inquirys, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a bidding war. Maybe I will have even more to spend.:D

I just checked with pepboys. The axles are about $70 each but takes different axles if it has ABS. No diff in price however. Did the VX have ABS?

Anyway the total cost including installation is $357. I guess prices have gone up.:mad:

I remember that the VX's were really bare bones. Options were practically nil on them so I don't think they had ABS. But, that's just from what I remember looking at them 11 years ago...:rolleyes:

It did not have abs, that was a rare civic option from back in the day.

Anyway, the vx had a lot more options than the cx!

It's a pretty simple replacement, actually. If you can drive it home I'd suggest figuring out how to replace it yourself on the following weekend.

So is high 30's in the city and 40's on the Highway even possible for a VX? Do the CV joints sound like they will make the 500 mile drive?

You ought to be fine driving on those axles, but that's up to you.

Anyway, yeah, vxs do take a beating on gas mileage, this was one of the reasons I was telling you 50mpg in a del sol wasn't exactly common, :p

I'd monitor the signal of the o2 sensor a bit when you get it to see how it's running, if it's getting lazy or just giving bad signals or what, *shrug*
