So I am going to aero mod my car

Well I decided I am going to start aero modding my car. I plan on using plexiglass (I can get almost unlimited scrap plexi easy at work). I think clear wheel skirts would look cool but they would be impossible to keep clean. So I plan on making front, rear undertray, and wheel skirts.

another idea I have was to put some plexi glass in the area beyond the headlights so it can match up to the slope of the body. only minor benifits but it migt look cool.

Woohoo! Another aero convert. Can't wait to see your work.

If you want to go whole hog, you should start thinking about a spoiler for your rear window. It's a good bet the angle of your rear glass is too steep for the flow over the roof to stay attached, and your trunk lid is too short to get the flow re-attached before it leaves the rear of the car.

(Tuft testing would tell for sure.)

So you're left with a trailing wake that's almost as bad as if it were a hatchback. A big mid "wing" (though not really a wing), about half to 2/3 of the way down your rear glass is something to think about, or a fairly high deck "wing" ... :)

But start with the easy stuff first. Sounds like fun.

Yes, it would depend on how far you want to be able to open the trunk.

I can visualize a set of 7-8 vgs about 4" in front of the top of the back window. ;)
