Apparently it can run on either engine (for FWD or RWD) or BOTH at the same time (AWD).

WTF?

Both at the same time should be 4wd, awd has power going to all wheels. Reminds me of a post I saw about a Yugo, with a 2.5l dodge turbo engine up front, and a sbc out back, both automatics. There must be some funky linkage that allows the driver to shift one, or the other while leaving one in N, or shift them both, probably some kind of electronically controlled setup.

its funny how that thing still only has 2 cams

And six injectors!

Reminds me of a Ford Focus project a friend of mine is planning.

Keep the stock 4-banger up front, but in back, hide a big fat 460 ci big block. The idea is to pull up next to ricers at street races with the 4-banger all muffled and weak-sounding, then turn on the V8 when it's race time.

This stigma about "ricers" is really annoying. Japanese cars can be fast even if they're "just" inline 4s.

That slang term has lots of connotations.

Within the context I was using it, it can even be applied to people driving American cars with tacky/flimsy modifications and fartcan mufflers as well, or European cars, and yes, even Asian cars where the first meanings of the term originated from. In that context, it usually applies to 4 cylinder engines, but not exclusively.

I once saw some dude with a 90s model Mustang GT, with twin fartcan exhausts, a spoiler that looked like it was made in wood shop, and a Nike symbol on the rear window. Under the context I was using that term, that is a ricer, even if the car is American.

Besides, I'm well aware that any car can be fast. It's a question of money, how fast do you want to go?

(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)
By this definition, I am a mighty ricer.

The Toecutter 08-05-2006 09:41 AM

RICER!!!

That Honda would be sick if its rear drive was electric with 150+ horsepower and its front drive was a 100+ HP diesel... Can't beat a SVO/electric hybrid...

SVOboy 08-05-2006 10:35 AM

No one's gonna do some weird crap like that when the main purpose is to love on the honda.
