BOSE Suspension

CLICK HERE for a very good read. You need quicktime to see the videos, but they're very impressive.

We have some materials testing equipment at work that is made by BOSE that uses similar technology, but implementing it on a car...that's crazy!

that looks amazing. Think it'll fit on my 89 civic?

I wonder if the extra speed you can carry through the turns will offset the energy required to run the system :)

"1/3 the amount of energy used by a typical A/C system" is not insignificant. That could easily be a 3% FE hit.

Still, very cool. Governments could just pay for all cars to have this and save the money on road maintenance!

suspension

This is leaps and bounds ahead of anything we have previously driven on. The magnetic ride gets close, but Bose has totally revolutionized suspension for motor vehicles with this system. With the magnaride you still must deal with springs (and all the downsides that come with stock vehicles, sagging, rough ride, body roll, etc.)...In short, sign me up for a Bose suspension.
