MPG: gasoline, diesel, CNG, etc equivalency
I was just thinking (and now my brain hurts). How about a drop-down menu showing MPG in terms of gasoline, diesel, CNG, cheeseburger, etc. The calculation shouldn't be more than caloric conversions between different types of fuels. eg, let's say I get 30 MPG gasoline. How does that translate to diesel? Or what if I use cheeseburgers? How many miles can I get on a cheeseburger? Might be a fun thing to see.

Forget a drop down, that'd be useful having just a small table with each "GOV'T ACKNOWLEDGED" type of fuel conversion. ... I'm quite hesitant to put cheeseburgers in my tank since I know how human arteries get clogged off that stuff. {smirk}
*sniffs the BBQ* Speaking of cheeseburgers... Gotta go flip. |
I lol'd at the suggestion of cheeseburgers as fuel. Having a drop down like that would be pointless because gas cars can't take diesel and CNG cars can't take gasoline. Though it would help for E85 and biodiesel.

Maybe Browsing vehicles by fuel type. It would neat to see what cars are using CNG and Biofuels. Being a Diesel Geek I don't care much about gasoline or E anything. But CNG seems intersting and so does Grease and Biodiesel. But each to his or her own.
Oh you probaly can run on cheeseburgers. There is a program by the US Army that takes all the food waste and has a gas genertator to make fuel for there generators. I will see if I can find the article. later erick |

It reminds me of "Back to the Future: Part 2" Soda/Beer can, some leaves... why not? :)
I saw an old F150 driving on the highway the other day. It had a sticker on the tailgate that read, "This Vehicle Runs On WATER!" I really am not sure if I believe that. |
Yes....I'm installing a Flux Capacitor in my VW right now :)
