I tried Acetone in my Del Sol and realized exactly 0% gain.

The best thing for your fuel system is to replace filter in the fuel tank and the one in the engine bay. This is useless on a new car since they are in tip top shape but for an older car it's necessary.

All I learned is that if I use a regular headset the radiation will make me nauseous.

Other than that I still see no more evidence than those people who deny the holocaust provide. Not exactly the same situation, but the lack of proof is there.

I realize this is your attempt at being funny, but it's rather sad when you continually insult a number of people for being too "skeptical."

1) Plenty of people on this site were open to acetone, tried it, and noticed no statistically significant gain.
2) Sterling Alan, the owner of PESWIKI, noticed zero gain on his car.
3) A lot of us subscribe to the notion that if acetone really worked, it would already be in gasoline. The same can be said for the fuel atomizer or other nonsense products.

Might any improvements from using acetone be coming from cleaning dirty injectors.
Acetone is one heck of a solvent (nasty stuff) and many cars have injectors which have a compromised spray pattern even tho the car may seem to be still running fine , but its costs MPG.

Yep... and occassional cleaning is good. proponents of acetone recommend you use it for EACH and EVERY fillup though.

Since getting my used Swift I have only filled up 4 times (6 months) and knowing that injectors are often fouled a little from various deposits I have been using injector cleaner in each tank full.
I didn't do a base figure b4 , so I cant verifty any FE improvement and I cant honestly say that performance has changed in any way in my case.

But in my sisters 6 cylinder Ford ...

..every 2 months it MUST get a tank load of injector cleaner or the gas consumption goes through the roof.
Then it takes 2 tanks to return to normal.

My questions about acetone were answered here. I feel that it is good if you start asking questions...It really opened me up to dig deeper about the fuel system of a car. I felt that the person who promoted it actually wasn't tring to make any money. That is why I even questioned it, I knew that anything else that I had to buy probly wouldn't work....

So, after all was said and done, I learned something from the experience, which is what this site is all about!
