Surprisingly, this is rarely taught to civilian managers so you need to vote with your feet and move on.

Great Advice!!!

Her degree is in sport therapy/dietary. She can go into store management with a snap of her fingers. That could lead to regional stuff. Shes already a dept. manager and partial store ast. manager. I have contacts at corporate. And have told her if she wants to be a product specialist or researcher or purchasing to let me know. During her time in school wal-mart really impressed her with how flexible they were when she needed time off for school, family or even time she wanted to attend a church camp she has went to every year as a young child.

Just used wal-mart as a example in my family. Look around. There may be a great student job right under your nose.

No, don't help the evil empire when you can destroy it! Go ahead and work there, but be sure to do more damage than good or else in the future everyone will be working for Wal-Mart. They exploit children in third world countries, run other businesses into the ground, and are almost to big to stop. Wal-Mart doesn't do favors. The Waltons are making $20 bil per year each, while company wide the average income is something like $18k. Wal-Mart is slowly destroying the middle class and leading to a new era or aristocratic exploitation and corporate feudalism. This is the consumer's version of the industrial revolution and we are seeing the same kind of exploitation and ruthless money-grabbing by retail giants such as ****-Mart and Target that Carnegie and J.P. Morgan enjoyed in the 1800's. Just remember that in 2000, Wal-Mart was one of the top donors to Dubya's election along with Altria, Microsoft, ExxonMobil, Enron, and Worldcom. Wal-Mart is certainly in similar company.
