Spreadsheet for Fuel Economy calculations

2 Attachment(s)
Based on a spreadsheet I found on this site:

https://www.gassavers.org/showthread....highlight=tool

(thread link), and some formulas from the site, and info I have found on the
web, I have created a spreadsheet that can show the effect of rolling resistance and aerodynamic drag on MPG (thereby showing you the best MPG
you could ever get withour LRR tyres or Aero mods), and also the MPG while
in gear, and in particular, the effect of the alternator.

There is a lot of room for expansion. In particular, does anyone know of any
formulas for how much power a power steering pump / water pump might
use?. The spreadsheet includes the ability for these items to take a constant
power (e.g. if you put an electric motor, driven via the alternator, so that they
turned at the minimum possible speed). Once the correct formulas are in place,
this would allow you to compare different options of e.g. running them
electronically, or running them via the ICE (as usual). It also lets you add up
the electrical current of the alternator, and see the effect of disconnecting it
on MPG.

Any comments? Any ideas on where to find the appropriate formulas for the
pumps?

P.S. I will find a better way to include ICE efficiency, but this depends on
so much, including throtttle position, and speed, that I just used the same
value from the old spreadsheet!

P.S. This is a fresh install of windows, and I have a virus scanner, but can
someone scan it to make sure? :)
