2007 goals

Is it too early to start this thread? :)

I don't think I'm going to get much else accomplished on the Blackfly this year, so I'm thinking of making a list...

Nah, it's never too early... :D

I'd like to see a 75mpg 100+ mile RT tank in my bunny, and a 100+ mpg one way trip. Maybe get the pickup above 30mpg average.

You're driving your Rabbit diesel?? You should definitely start a thread and/or do a garage entry for it.

Well, I first need to drive the mazda for a tank to see what it gets. Then a can figure a good guess. A 40mpg average for the year would be nice. And a few +50 tanks.

Also, I would like to ride my bike to work more this summer (I was real lazy about that last year).

avg 45mpg and hit 50mpg.

Average 40mpg+ for the entire year. Also learn how to drive the clutch right.

Well I met my 2006 goal - I installed the HF tranny and am getting 40+ mpg!

For 2007, I'd like to see a 600 mile tank, a 45+ mpg summer average, and possibly convert my car to MPFI and get a MID.

GasSavers_brick 12-11-2006 04:18 AM

For 2007 I simply want to master all known techniques in the new Prius. P&G, Warp Stealth, ICE-only acceleration, learning when EV is and is not appropriate, and not looking at the MFD instead of the road. I have no concept of what kind of numbers to expect at peak conditions...maybe a 70mpg tank per the MFD? I think 60mpg is well within reason but I may as well give myself something to reach for.

I want to be able to achieve this without any goofy coasting down the highway or having a 20 mph average speed- that's what bicycles are for. The car is going to have to retain its' functionality; a totally gutted-out stripped-down seatless shell of a car can't move occupants (after all that is the point of a car) so why not jump on a motorcycle instead? Angle chop the top? That'd look cool but I require that the back seats remain functional, so that's a no-go. This has to be real-world, user-friendly motoring.

P.S. Matt- where'd my link to the "Lambo" go?

Why not move to Michigan where they get 3142 MPG?

I like to see my 12 month average stay at 42-43mpg. I also want a 700 mile tank.
