This looks very interesting indeed!. If only it was possible to get one of those 42hp ones (6" by 6" size!), it would make a diesel-powered DIY hybrid possible with stupidly high MPG figures!

No kidding! Where I work, I have access to many types of alluminum extrusion including 2x4's, 1x3's, etc. Even a non-hybrid with that type of construction and this engine could give some pretty amazing FE numbers.:eek:

The lubrication and sealing problems of that engine are an order of magnitude higher than a Wankel. There's no way that engine will be practical until physicists synthesize Unobtainium for the vane seals.

I agree with Sludgy. I hate to be so pessimistic, but it seems that there are too many odd shaped areas to effectively seal. This sounds like it has a good power to weight/size ratio but with all that leakage, I wonder how efficient it is or how long it would last between rebuilds.
