MAP sensor mod

I was talking to my uncle over the Christmas holiday and found some interesting news. He has been a mechanic for 20+ years and is familliar with many modern computer controls on cars. He told me that on my Saturn, the primary sensor that my ECU looks to is the MAP sensor for determining mixture and that the O2 sensor was the second line of defense. I may have to re-visit my experiment with altering the MAP sensor signal. The only drawback is that it totally screws with the SG's method of figuring FE. When I tried this mod with my first Saturn, I was able to see 70-90 mpg at 50-60 mph cruise and knew that couldn't be right. My suspicions were confirmed after talking with Fran Giroux at hydrogen-boost.com. Anyway, I will have to track down a potentiometer and see what I can do.

this sounds exciting. Hopefully it's not just the saturns that can be affected.
