GM is going to be the first to use this hybrid drive in its trucks, which is much more powerful that their 14 kW hybrid drives. DC will follow about 1 year later.

I think I already know the answer to the question: Will GM produce the highest mileage pickup by using a SMALL gas engine like the 4.8 V8, 4.3 V6, or even the 2.9 I4? NO WAY. I'll give odds that GM uses nothing smaller than their 5.3 V8. And because of it, they won't get 30 EPA highway mpg.

Still, 25 mpg would make my trade my F350 Powerjoke :rolleyes: in a flash.
