OT computer stuff: anyone built a laptop "cantenna"?
 

Looking ahead to sailing season...

Last year I managed reasonably well to pick up open wireless networks from the schooner (or on land, not far from where ever we tied up).

But I've seen these "cantennas" - and wonder how much it'll improve my range. Anyone made or bought one? Results? Recommendations?
