Well on the bright side, your car will keep getting lighter. :D

I have heard that for most cars, aerodynamics will be improved by sending the air above the vehicle. Still, I bet that leaving the strip on is smoother than stock. while you are at it, go out there with a warm wet rag, wipe off the front and dry it before it freezes, and put some clear packing tape over all of the seams. I did this on my camry and it runs warmer, and seems to coast longer. also keeps the salt out.

Good idea, since my gaps are huge in places. I've thought about doing that for a while, but couldn't think of the best tape for the job. Packing tape would be great:thumbup: , it's clear, wide, agressive, yet hopefully still removeable.

I'm afraid to do anything with water outside until the temps get warmer than they've been (usually near or below zero F in the evenings). Maybe this weekend when we could hit 20F.

I made this out of some election signs and zip ties.

I made my grille block today! I used this black rubber mat stuff my uncle used to line his pond. Since my '97 Civic HX is also a beater I just screwed the mat over the lower scoop with silicone at the seams. It looks pretty good because my ca is in flat black primer. I would post pics but I don't have a camera.

beaters can make life easier! I never worry about somebody hitting it with their door in a parking lot (thier loss), don't bother washing it too much if ever. Aero modding can be simpler too.
