Car pooling

Does anyone here carpool. Its a nice way to save fuel and a lot of my friends do it. I give 3-4 people rides home every day from school and outher friends switch off days they drive eachouther to school. Just wonderin if anyone does the same to save a lil gas.

Former pooler. My job at the time was 60+ miles and 80 minutes away. A co-worker lived about 8 miles from my home. We'd usually take my car. It was already warmed from my trip to his place, it got 50+ mpg versus his 3/4 ton 4x4's 12, it was a more comfortable ride. It just made sense.
My new job is 10 miles and 20 minutes away. I'm back to solo commuting.

Hello -

My life is way too messy to coordinate car pooling. I think I have the option of "pay as you go" for certain carpools, but I would have to drive 7 miles just to take advantage of it.

I am a night owl, so early-bird carpools are anathema to me.
