liters/100km request.

I am looking for more exposure to the liters/100km unit of Fuel consumption.

I appreciate that it would be a little daunting to make "use metric units" a profile checkbox, but I wonder if we could do the top 10 lists and other comparisons so that they list both mpg and liters/100km?

I'd be happy to help implement it.

I'd also like to see this :-) it just makes more sense. Someday America will realize middle earth has it correct.

I am USA centric, but it think it would be neat to be able to comapre my car to Euro-cars without having to get out a slide rule.

(this must be GasSavers growing pains)

edit: i now see that you said to show both...so i erased my comment, though i assume that it will convert it to liters/100km for us? yes i do know it's an easy conversion but i am lazy.

235.2 over mpg (us gallon) equals the number of liters required for 100 km.
282.2 over mpg (imperial gallon) equals the number of liters required for 100 km.

The reverse also works. 235.2 over number of liters equals mpg (us).

I completely agree. We should get this matter sorted out (harmonized) quickly, before we colonize the solar system and later, the universe. And I am dead serious: already one Mars lander crashed because someone mixed up metric and nonmetric measurement units. NASA went metric awhile ago...

He hehe, I remember that. Millions of dollars down the tube because of a simple screw up :p.

Whoa there, let's wait a little bit. I want to get my GasSaving perfected here on Earth before I try to save gas in the thin air of Mars. We also need more GasSaver members before we colonize Mars, let alone the universe.

Yeah L/100 km is cool. Check my sig.

I'm thinking of making a setting somewhere to enable this. Maybe in the profile section, maybe not.

Just need to iron out the mechanics to make it smooth.

I'd really like to rewrite the entire garage/gaslog module from the ground up so that I can actually write it correctly and also encorporate all of these changes, but that would definately be more time consuming.
