Looking at the 'hubcaps' thread, there is a link to these:

I assume these are flat, like plates?. If not, would it be possible to make them
flat (removing any clips from the rear of them). I would want to fit them over my alloys, and secure them with multiple tight cable ties, and maybe used some sort of thing padding to stop them rattling about).

They look pretty good. However, I can't see where to get these in the UK. Does anyone know where to get them (for this kind of price) in Europe or the UK?. Or could someone help me get a set? :).

After getting my coroplast the aero-bug has really hit and I would like to see how far I can go with it :)

That's what I'm running on the Daewoo-woo. Unfortunately they have the metal hooks and not the retaining ring. Basjoos had success with pizza tray pans. Might try that. Look through this thread for details.

I suppose it reduces the turbulence around the edge of the wheel. When driving along at 40mph, there is a lot of turbulence in the wheel wells. The bottom of the tyre is 'stationary' compared to the road, but the top is travelling backwards at 40mph, for a total difference of 80mph at the edge of the tyre!. The centre of the wheel is constantly travelling at 40mph. As wind resistance increases cubically (I think), then it is worth focusing here (this is along the same lines as wing mirror removal, where the air is forced round the car so is travelling faster than the car itself is travelling).
