VX Aero Q
I was looking at the front of the vx yesterday and noticing the sections to the left and right of the radiator opening (lower grille). It is a spot where some cars may have fog lights but on the vx there is nothing there except a couple holes and ridges.
does anyone know if these holes serve a cooling or ventilating purpose, or are they just there and could they be covered up? |
They can be covered up. Or you can install some OEM foglights to fill them and provide AUX lighting.

yup ther for some fog lights my dad wants to put um on his newer accord

I covered mine up when I bought my '95 DX hatchback 3 months ago. No affect on cooling. My completely covered grille area, however, caused the engine to get very toasty on the first 50 degree F day we had in early April, so I had to remove the grille block that was covering the right side (where the radiator is). All cooling problems were resolved.

sweet, I will cover them up. Is that a carbon fiber hood on your vx?
|
Yes, Carbon fiber hood that I had from a previous car...that previous car was in a "frame altering" accident and that's why the hood isn't for looks, it's for function, lol.

I covered them up yesterday. Also made a partial grille block, both blocks out of clear packing tape. I did a good job on the fog light holes, but not so good on the grille block. On the fog lights you can't tell that they are blocked unless you look closely.
