CRX mirror removal-are blanking plugs interchangable?

I have a 1991 CRX HF and wanted to remove the left sideview mirror. Is there a blanking plug for the left side or will a right side plug fit on the left side.I have not tried to remove the plug and fit it to the other side because I do not want to pry it out and break a clip. The mirror has an adjustment arm but they could have saved some weight by telling you to roll down the window and use your hand. The mirror really sticks out perhaps a side benefit of removal would be a reduction in wind noise.

Don't think there is a plug. Shouldn't be interchangable either.

You could always make your own or find a similar looking one for another car and make it fit, :)

There are two plates that fit together that I call a plug.Perhaps just shifting them to the other side with the interior plate on the outside would work. That is my next project so I will report shortly.I keep the car covered so people cannot identify it and stop to make offers.

Damn them for trying to buy it! Put in a garage and gaslog entry, and let us know how the project goes!
