GM future "stuff": electric power steering

It talks about GM's future plans to increase fuel economy, one of them being going from a hydraulic steering to hybrid technology electric steering. This may mean going to a 42-volt power system for trucks for such a system, not just for the hybrids (which I know nothing about).

They use electric steering on several car models. Save gas but makes for a terrible drive, no feel at all......
