New and ready to experiment
Hello,
I'm new to this forum, I'm looking for tips on how to increase my MPG, my daily commute at the moment is 70 miles a day and I'm getting about 27 MPG highway, I drive a 1.8L 92 mazda mx3. Since last week I've been experimenting with acetone in my tank without any results yet, I've started with 2.5 ounces per 10 gallons , every time I fill up I decrease the amount by 1/2 an ounze, I only use chevron with techron don't know if this is the reson I'm not getting any results. Any advice and tips are welcome, thank you. |

welcome...
Dont' really expect to find a mixture of acetone that works with your car. It sound like you have the right attitude. Just keep experimenting. Read the old posts here. Keep chugging along :) Oh, and enter your vehicle in the garage and start tracking your mileage. |
Hello and welcome! Pump up those tires (if you feel safe doing so) and adjust that thing between the steering wheel and seat :)
Oh yeah, ask lot's of questions too :) |

Welcome to GS. I think the MX3 is a good FE platform. Have you established an MPG baseline without Acetone yet? It might be that your drivetrain is not "acetone-friendly". Some people swear by it, others get no results. Like everyone else said, use the forum search engine to try to find stuff about the MX3 and other MPG goodies you are interested in. You say you have the 1.8L? Is that a V6? Automatic or Stickshift? : Mazda MX-3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_MX-3 Quote:
