lol most of that "spring water" is filtered tap water...i know disani water is just filtered water that comes in the coke plant in GA... we sometimes buy water but we keep reusing the same bottles over and over again.
lol around here we mostly have beer cans in the ditches... |
I can't believe how many people buy bottled water, what a waste, I am with Repete86, I buy a bottle and reuse many times with tap water before I put it in the recycle bin.

I have had one bottled water that actually tasted good. It was American something or other, and it came out before bottled water had really exploded. It was only available at K-Mart... and you can't get it anymore. Whether or not it was good for you is another story. I have never bought water with money out of my own pocket though. If my parents bought it, I would drink it.
Now I just use glas bottles. Can't beat it, since you don't have to worry about the plastic decaying and seeping into your drink. There is a reason why beer is put into glass. MnFocus: I am originally from Michigan. I am pretty sure that you can only return MI market bound cans to Michigan. They are all marked as such. That and water is non-returnable, as is gatorade. I think that to be returnable, it has to have some sort of carbonation. Not entirely sure though. Best bet is to go the route of theclencher and just use the same mug/container ALWAYS. |
I just dump the yellow stuff out of the ones in the ditch and reuse those.

The plastic bottles I have from work say " MI 10? , IA 5?" I assumed that = truck to MI . You may very well be correct though - I know a few have tried U-hauling bottles to said states , haven't heard if it worked or not . Besides it was mentioned in jest anyway see -->:p (omitted smiley ) |

I've never liked bottled water becasue the plastic bottles add a plastiky taste to the water that I find unpleasant. I just refill glass bottles from the tap.

Ya know now that ya mention it , those were the two I was talking to . I wonder how they did ?:p |
I buy flavored water.
I am partial to Fruit 2 0, AquaCal, and Springtime. They're all great, and I think they taste 100x better than regular water. They are a bit more expensive though, so usually I will buy a pack of them and reuse the bottles, filling them with tap water (which for me is spring water), and use crystal lite singles to flavor them myself. I prefer the flavors already used by the company though. For me it isn't an environmental concern. It's a matter of personal health. I used to be so addicted to sodas that now I'll do anything to keep from drinking them. Including buying water... though I think flavored water is a bit of an exception to what this article was getting at. |
