Any Golf Cart owners?
I own a 1970 Harley Davidson 3 wheel electric and my father owns a 2003 EZ-GO electric. Recently I upgraded the battery cables and installed a new "speed chip" to bring his cart's top speed up to about 22 miles an hour. I'm now going to be doing the same to some other carts in the Country Club since other owners were impressed with what I did to my dad's cart.
So anyone else own any Golf Carts? |
nope but they are pretty cool. whats the range on the 22mph one?
|
Golf cart no, but we do have a little Twister Hammerhead dune buggy/go-kart. Wonderful little machine, it'll touch 40mph nailed going down the hill in front of our house. ~30 on level ground. And that from a Chinese 150cc single. Doesn't use a whole lot of gas either.

The ForkenSwift has a golf cart controller :). That count?

It's an old Curtis 1204 36/48v 225A (it might be 275A, but I always forget). From a Club Car.

I've got a Cushman Turf-Truckster. Not electric though it came from a golf course. It has a hydraulic dump bed and will haul boot-A. It actually has a eight speed manual transmission and is the 4 wheel model. High and Low levels =R,1,2,3 - In high 3 I'm doing about 30, brakes are out as the master cylinder is dead (I have a new one sitting in the living room - it's on my to-do list). I have to plan my driving at high speed a good 15 seconds ahead. ;)

This is cool. I had wondered how many others here had carts. I'm going to take some pics tomorrow of the upgrades done to my dad's cart as well as my old Harley. I'll probably even take pics of the cart that I'm going to work on tomorrow.

I was thinking about making my old ski-doo Electric, by the use of a golf cart electric motor and controller. Can someone tell me how many HP out of it (48 volt). I read about 2-3 HP, that would never be enough for a snowmobile ?
