Welcome to the site! Considering the size and equipment you are running on that rig, 15 MPG isn't bad....
i have done alot of mods to make better fuel economy, Condensator, Removed the power steering pump and went back to a manual steering box, I upgraded the carb from a Carter BBD, to a holley 2210 off a dodge 360, Switched it from an automatic tranny to a 4 speed manual,
Btw its a fulltime 4wd the starting fuel econ was 6-8Mpg now it gets an average of 15 mpg |
niiice would you consider a scan gauge? btw welcome
i dont know where or how your going to hook up a scanguage to a 76 truck...
but 15 is pretty good for that heavy of a truck. im not sure what else you could do...besides make it 2wd only...but im not sure whats involved in that... |
WOOPS never mind!!
I dont want 2wd LOL, I use the 4wd All the time for work
If you need the truck for work, have you thought about picking up a different car?

Welcome to GS! Speaking of snow and ice, but not as much mud, I hope you don't have to do too much Ice Road Trucking! https://www.history.com/minisites/iceroadtruckers CarloSW2 |
