1985 Mercedes 190D
Nice car, 2.2 liter diesel, naturally aspirated, auto trans. A/C compressor clutch doesn't get electrical current and sunroof doesn't work, but everything else works good. 250K miles, starts easily, idles smooth, shifts well. All gauges work, and the AM/FM/CD will drown out the clickety-clack rattle rattle of the mid-80's diesel technology.
It gets mid to upper 20's MPG. This is a great candidate for a vegetable oil conversion or to use with biodiesel (I've been running it on biodiesel since we've had it). $3000/OBO or I'd consider a small sailboat as part trade. We've got 5 cars, so this one's got to go. Let's talk. |
$57.62 and some belly button lint.
Good lint or that cheap Chinese knock-off stuff?
Well, it was supposedly made in America, but nowadays, they import everything, and slap a label that says made in America, becuz the label was made in America. At least there's a boom in label making here.

If it had a manual, I would buy it. I'm sick of having an automatic.
Hey, Paisan, if it had a manual, I wouldn't be sellin' it!;) I'm tired of driving a slushbox, too! 'specally with a non turbo diesel...
My buddy left one in his "estate", we gave it to the local high school auto shop (after I got it running again, it had most of the parts for wvo in it too). They were very happy to have it, and we could use more diesel minded mechanics.
