Question about belly pan

I've heard that duct tape is pretty weak at holding up cardboard so i've been thinking...If I got a decently thick slab of cardboard and screwed it under the car for a belly pan for a temporary 900 mile round trip from the los angeles area to san francisco do you think it would hold up? I've been looking for coroplast but I guess i'm kinda out of luck since i'm leaving thursday...any input from anyone for this idea? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

idk about that holding up but if thats all you have to work with then i would go for it for at least the trip. if it falls of you might get a little of a gain from when it was on there.

I think there is a sign/banner shop on San Gabriel Blvd, north of the intersection to Las Tunas. I have been meaning to go in there, but have not got around to it.

... Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to yahoo maps I go ... here it is :

Special Signs
(626) 285-8870
specialsigns.net
115 N San Gabriel Blvd
San Gabriel, CA 91775

If you call them, you can find out if they sell coroplast.

I haven't done a belly pan on my car. You may not need to do the whole bottom. It depends on what other's have done to their civics on GasSavers.

$28 for a 4'x8' sounds reasonable to me.

Here is one example for a Del Sol :

Belly Pan Installation, Honda Del Sol

It's the same white coroplast, and 4mm thick sounds like a match to the 1/8" thick. It looks like krousdb used 8'x8' total, but I don't think you have to make it as detailed as krousdb.

At least not yet ;) ,

S&W plastics has what you need when your Coroplast goes byebye. They have ABS, expanded PVC, etc. There's one in Ontario, one in San Berdoo, probably others
